i mean u always hear google this google that along with google being one of the biggest multi-billion dollar companies.





how exactly does the google corporation make all this money and HOW much do they make?

Google is a public company, which means if you want to be a part owner, you can by buying shares. To give you an indication of how much profit shareholders make: their most recent quarter turned over a billion US dollars in earnings or $3.79 after items. That's for just 3 months. They (I should say we because I own 1 share) probably have tens of billions of dollars in cash on hand which makes it a relatively good growth opportunity; and no debt on the books.





They are making money (65% from their adsense network) from selling advertising on their search engine - paid according to the rank the search key word turns up or also text ads on other sites and g-mail. They are also in the middle of acquiring Doubleclick, an acquisition pending approval, and have already made other investment like the big 1.7 Billion$ purchase of youtube.com


But basically most of their revenue comes from search and they get paid according to how much traffic they can generate. Because of high profit margins and a 66% market share in internet search Google is a major cash cow.
