Why wont my google updater for the "google pack' download anything?...see details?

I had google pack before but i uninstalled it because i thought it was questening and or jeopardizing the integrity of my computer and internet speed.Now that i've kinda sorta got the problem worked out for the most part i want it back.First of all,when i initially started the google pack download it put the updater icon on my desktop but when i clicked on it,a box kept coming up that said the updater is still installing.Finally it managed to finish installing but it wont seem to download any thing.When i open the updater it shows the software that i want to download and install and it shows the software that i already have from before hand but next to it it says "not yet downloaded".Next to the "Google Toolbar for IE" download it keeps switching between "downloading" and "retrying".I've tried uninstalling and redownloading/installing about 6 times because i thought it might be some sort of problem google itself was having.I have tried keeping it open for hours with no results.PLS HELP

Try updating your Windows as it sometimes may fix problems.





Check the settings for your security programs (firewall, antivirus, etc.) for allowed programs (Google Updater) and allowed sites (google.com and other sites).





If you have installed other programs, they may cause problems with each other and/or Google Updater. Also, viruses and spyware may cause problems. You could try cleaning up your Windows Registry (there are some freeware programs for that, remember to make a backup copy of your registry before cleaning it up).
