It knows what country you are in from your ip address and redirects you to a local Google.

You can use a proxy to hide you ip if you want to access Google.com. E.g. http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
You would probably need a US proxy for that.
Reply:Actually theses are settings configured at DNS Servers, This can be provided by hosting service providers by using URL Forwarding.. Or the other way is to directly redirect page using any scripting language based on the IP Culture, as mentioned above. Report It
