Google Adwords Vs. Google Adsense?

I have heard a lot of people talk about the two of these. Do you have to be selling something to use them on your website? Can you use them on a site like angelfire or Geocities..the ones that are free? I have also heard you have to pay for Google Adsense...or pay for the clicks..?? I do not have that much of an understanding on this. Can someone help me? Is there any free information on this? I saw a webiste about Adestroyer or something..i am not looking to pay for any book or any tool that is just going to suck my wallet dry. Thanks.

Google Adwords Vs. Google Adsense?
You do not have to be selling anything on a website to use either of these. I'm not sure if you can use Google on Angelfire or Geocities as I do not use either one of those, but google is used on many free webhosting sites. I use blogger. You do not have to pay for any of the clicks unless you plan on using your own ads through Google, so forget about that. Actually , you do not have to pay for anything to use either Google tools.

I run a political blog so I can tell you that the click-ads will change based on your content, which is what you want to happen otherwise your viewers will get tired of seeing the same thing over and over.

I do think that Adsense is the better of the two. I can also tell you that it can take some time, depending on site content, to make any money off of the ads. Naturally, the more viewers of the site, the better the chances that the ads will be clicked.

Be aware that you have to make $100 in clicks before you are paid and that payment is held back until the end of the following month. Example: pay period from May 15 to June 15. You are paid on July 20th to 25. Direct deposit pays you by the 5th of the following month.

It took me 7 months to hit that $100 mark but it has been worth it sense then. There are other good services just like Google so don't limit yourself to just one company.

I did drop Google for another company which lets me pick my ads to be displayed. Only reason I left Google. Google is good for starters though

Need to know anything else, then email me.

There is no quick and easy way to make money on the net unless you're a scammer, so plan on being somewhat patient.

Reply:Hi,

Using Google AdSense do not need you to sell anything on your website. You only need to Sign Up for AdSense Account at AdSense Homepage or you can Sign Up at my blog.

You don't need to pay for Google AdSense. It is Free to join. But for Google AdWords, you will need to pay Google because you are using the AdWords to create your own Ads and Google will help you display your Ads. You will not need AdWords, as it is optional.

If you would like to know more about AdSense, you can visit my blog:

Reply:This is the difference between the two:

Adwords are advertisements that you place either on other people's websites or on the sponsored links on search engines. You have to pay for these by bidding an amount - the more you bid the higher your ad will be placed.

Adsense are advertisements that are placed on your own website and when people click on them, you get a share of the revenue. The ads are always targeted to your website's content.

To get more information, go to Google and click on 'Advertising Programs' below the search box.

You will get information on both.
